Dear Trinity Family,
Thank you for joining me in prayer this final week of our Pray and Engage efforts.
As you know, Arizona’s legislature hangs in the balance to protect school choice and the values we hold dear as followers of Christ. Please pray and please vote according to our values this week.
Here are some thoughts from our good friend Cathi Herrod from Center for Arizona Policy:
Values, Not Politics
The sanctity of life…
The value of the family…
The creation of male, female …
These were all first moral values, biblical issues long before they were deemed political. Rendering them merely political allows Christians to abdicate their duty to both God and society.
Those values translate into real policies. Consider the following:
Protecting Life: God hates the shedding of innocent blood. We must elect leaders who prioritize protecting unborn life. Each vote helps fight back against policies that promote abortion.
Judges: Judges shape laws on family, life, and religious freedom. For federal judges, it’s the president who nominates, and the Senate who confirms them. For state judges, it’s the governor who selects judges. Voting allows us to elect candidates who will appoint pro-life, pro-religious freedom judges. Failing to vote allows opponents to appoint judges who will shape our laws for decades.
Border Security: A secure border ensures people enter lawfully and safely. We can elect leaders who will enforce safe, orderly policies for entering the country. Weak border policies lead to lawlessness, suffering, and death.
Israel: We need leaders who will stand with Israel and provide unwavering support. Candidates who won’t protect Israel put this critical alliance at risk.
Religious Freedom: As government intrusion into religion rises, we need leaders who will defend our right to follow God’s Word and abide by the First Amendment’s guarantee that we may freely exercise our beliefs. Not voting risks losing our religious freedoms to government overreach.
Biological Sex: God made humans male and female. Radical agendas are targeting this truth, especially in schools. They are coming after our children. We must vote for candidates who will protect biological reality and safeguard kids from harmful ideologies.
Family: Psalm 127 tells us children are a heritage from the Lord. In the last few decades, parental rights have slowly eroded. Voting allows us to elect candidates who will defend your right to raise your children according to your values. Not voting hands that power to the government.
Knowing these policies affect real people and have the potential of promoting or blocking godly principles; we must acknowledge that Christians have, not just a right, but a duty to engage, get informed, and vote.
The decision is beyond personality, it is policy and the effect of that policy on our families and our neighbors.
Sitting out this election, or any election, is not an option. By abstaining, we cast our vote.
May we use our vote for the glory of God, while engaging in a privilege that has the power to better or worsen lives, further biblical values, stand for the common good, and protect those who can not cast their own vote.
The General Election is Tuesday, November 5th.

We worked with our partners at Center for Arizona Policy, ACSTO, the Goldwater Institute, and the Arizona Christian Education Coalition to pull this together to guide voters across the state.
At some point this week, pause, grab your kids or grandkids or a friend, and take a few minutes to join us in prayer for our school, the election, and all of our families.
Thank you!
All in with Jesus for His Children,
