Mrs. Aceves is a California native, but is thrilled to call Prescott home. As a youth, Mrs. Aceves always found herself teaching younger children, whether in VBS, AWANAS, or Sunday school. Her love for children led to her pursuit of a degree in teaching. In her very first college course, she was introduced to the classical model of education, which greatly impacted her philosophy of teaching and education. Mrs. Aceves graduated from Christian Heritage College (now San Diego Christian College) with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies, emphases in Early Childhood Education and Biblical Studies. During college Mrs. Aceves met Mr. Aceves, and they were married shortly after graduation. As a new graduate, Mrs. Aceves taught preschool and worked various jobs for a few years until the Lord added to their family. Mrs. Aceves was blessed to stay home with her three boys during their early years. Once life settled down a bit (and all were sleeping through the night), she returned to work. Mrs. Aceves spent five years on staff at a classical, Christian school in Valencia, CA. It was during this time that Mrs. Aceves was able to finish her multi-subject teaching credential and earn a master’s degree in education. In 2016, Mrs. Aceves and her family moved to Prescott. The Aceves family quickly became a Trinity family. Mrs. Aceves was welcomed to Trinity as the third grade teacher; her boys are Warriors in the grammar school, and Mr. Aceves is often seen around campus serving wherever there is a need. Mr. and Mrs. Aceves are continually thankful that they have Trinity Christian School as a partner to educate their boys in a Christ-centered culture.
